I believe that art should connect with its audience on multiple levels. On the surface it should be fun and whimsical, drawing people in with approachable simplicity, while still conveying a deeper message for those that chose to see it.

In my youth, I worked summers as guide in the Rocky Mountains and spent many years traveling the world and seeking deeper understanding through meditation, adrenalin sports, music festivals and art. It is during this time that I began to see the interconnected patterns in nature. It is this interconnection of all things that I attempt to express in my artwork, as I believe that art can help people come into harmony with themselves and the environment.

My big “Ah Ha” moment was at Burning Man where one year I saw an installation created completely from hexagons that managed to express the deeper nature of reality is simple, yet beautiful way. I decided the best way to honour the artist was to take the inspiration and see what I could create in return- like we were having a conversation. Since then I have taken my love of hexagons into absurdity, turning the simple concept into ridiculous things.

In recent years I have been focusing on mastering computer controlled equipment, which has allowed me to bring my digital designs to life and create things I used to only dream about.
