Flaming Sierpiński (2023)
A 42-foot pyrotechnic effigy built from reclaimed lumber mill waste in Ponoka, inspired by the recursive geometry of the Sierpiński triangle. Led by a volunteer crew and supported by community fundraising, the project demonstrated how collective energy can amplify artistic vision while keeping budgets low. Managing safety protocols for a large-scale burn required clear communication, site planning, and respect for the land. The effigy became both a mathematical form and a fire-based storytelling ritual—proof that geometry and community can share the same flame.
