Eye of God

The Helix Nebula, Hubble’s “Eye of God”, holds the idea that the universe is contained within. Look deep enough and it looks back. An iris and a galaxy mirror each other so closely they collapse the distance between inner and outer space. The patterns inside an eye echo deep space structures, suggesting the cosmos is reflected within us. The hexagonal frame grounds this concept in geometry that appears throughout nature, from crystals to star systems.   ~  Western astrophysics provides the imagery. Eastern philosophy provides the framework. The universe is not out there. It is reflected.

Printed on edge-lit acrylic, the light does not sit on the surface. It rises from within and moves outward with its own presence, creating depth and awareness. The piece blends high-resolution imagery with a custom reactive lighting system that reads sound, motion, and ambient light. Colours shift in real time, creating a living field that responds to the world around it. Speak and the tones warm. Stand still and it breathes. Play music and it dances. It is never the same twice.
