Working with the team from Food Scopes, I acted as the lead artist and designer responsible for bringing to life a medicine garden. This magical garden is tucked in behind the new Calgary Howard Johnson societies location. The piece incorporates the traditional medicine wheel into a functional solar calendar which is aligned to the solstices and equinoxes. Each quartet is dedicated to growing different traditional herbs and medicines for use in ceremony. The garden is maintained by the clients at the Howard Johnson society as part of their ongoing therapy.
